This trip will be on 4/16/16 (the same day as Spring Fest)! We'll be departing around 8:30 am and returning around 5:00 pm. Our adventure will include the sinkholes and karst geology of McCormick's Creek State Park, as well as a fossil and geode hunt at Brown County State Park!
For this trip, you should pack a lunch for the middle of the day! Other things you may consider bringing would be a sturdy bag that you don't mind getting dirty (in case you plan on collecting samples in the field), a bottle of water and/or snacks, and a rock hammer if you have one (if not, you can probably borrow one from someone if you need it). Also, dress appropriately! Watch the weather near the day of the trip, and wear a jacket/coat, boots or tennis shoes, jeans, or any other weather-suitable clothes according to the situation.
One final note: be safe, be smart, and have fun!
